An ERPA Success Story: This case study describes how ERP Analysts consultants performed an assessment for an upstate New York Health Care Provider’s current PeopleSoft version 9.1 Time & Labor, Absence Management, Compensation and Payroll Interface modules set up and business processes. ERPA had been engaged to perform a business process and technology review of Human Resources and Compensation.
Our initial role was only to review their current system, business processes and requirements, and then provide recommendations and additional configurations to that of their current set ups. This phase was such a success and much needed exchange of information that our efforts progressed to the client creating an additional statement of work (SOW) for an ERPA consultant to be contracted for a support phase.
What began as an Assessment of the client’s current PeopleSoft HCM v9.1 system modules current state and a possible future upgrade to version 9.2 had now quickly expanded to ERPA providing a functional resource to assist with version 9.1 reconfiguration and process modifications for Time & Labor, Absence Management, Payroll Interface to ADP (3rd Party payroll provider), and Compensation modules, respectively.
This Organization is a New York State Catholic Health Plan, that provides New York State-sponsored health insurance coverage for people of all ages and at all stages of life. They employ approximately three thousand and thirty-seven (3,037) Compensated Employees with two thousand seven hundred (2,700) of these employees having employer-sponsored benefits. Their business is providing affordable health insurance to residence of the State of New York. Their corporate operations are in Buffalo with IT operations and Call Center in Queens, NY.
PeopleSoft HCM 9.1 is the main resource for Human Resources, Time & Labor, Absence Management in conjunction with other third party (3rd) vendors and ADP for payroll and Affordable Care Act Administration. PeopleSoft went live in May of 2010, and as with many organizations, there were only a handful of original team members still with the employer to help in the understanding of original configuration and related processes. For this reason the Organization deemed ERPA an invaluable resource.
